Mission Trips

As part of my servant leadership I have gained experience in leading and participating in international medical and humanitarian missions, with a focus on providing eye care and other essential medical services to underserved communities. This includes organizing and leading two week-long Ophthalmology missions to Haiti, each time assembling a team of 2 Ophthalmologists and 1 Optometrist. During these trips, the team provided comprehensive eye exams and performed approximately 50 surgeries per trip, serving around 800 patients in total.
I also participated in a one-week medical mission to Guatemala, working as part of a team of 50 physicians, pharmacists, and medical students. The team established mobile clinics in different towns each day, seeing hundreds of patients.
Additionally, I joined a construction and vacation bible school mission trip to Belize with the First Presbyterian Church, contributing to community development projects during the day and leading educational programming in the evenings. This experience demonstrates my commitment to leveraging my medical expertise and organizational skills to deliver high-impact humanitarian aid internationally.
