Local Leader

Part of my service for our community has been through involvement in leadership roles in the medical associations. At Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi, I served as chair of the credentials committee and also as secretary of the medical staff Executive Committee. This experience gave me deep insight into the inner workings of our local healthcare system and the challenges facing medical professionals.

In addition, I served on the Oxford Surgery Center Board for 12 years. During that time, I also took on the role of Medical Director for 7 years. This allowed me to directly shape the policies and operations of an important healthcare facility in our region.

My commitment to the medical community extends beyond the hospital walls. I was elected to serve on the board of the North Mississippi Physicians Association IPA, and even held the position of vice president. This gave me the opportunity to advocate for the needs of doctors and patients across our whole region.
