Throughout a career spanning decades, I have served as a leader in the field of Osteopathic medicine, medical education, and healthcare innovation. My unwavering commitment to the advancement of the Osteopathic profession and my ability to navigate complex organizational challenges have left an indelible mark on the healthcare landscape.

At the heart of my national leadership is my longstanding involvement with the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). Over the course of several decades, I have held numerous influential positions within the organization, including serving on the Board of Trustees and as the Association’s President from 2018 to 2019. In these roles, I have played a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing Osteopathic education, advocacy, and policy development.

As President of the AOA, I demonstrated my ability to steer the organization towards greater heights. I spearheaded efforts to strengthen the Osteopathic profession, ensuring that it remained at the forefront of medical advancements and patient care. My leadership on key committees, such as the Bureau of Ethics and the Bureau of Membership, underscores my unwavering commitment to upholding ethical practices and fostering the growth of the Osteopathic community.

Beyond the AOA, my national leadership has extended to other organizations, including the Federation of State Medical Boards. As a member of the Advisory Group on Continued Competence of Licensed Physicians and the Maintenance of Licensure Implementation Group, I have championed the importance of ongoing professional development and competency among medical practitioners. These efforts have not only emphasized the need for continuous learning within the field but have also contributed to ensuring that healthcare professionals remain equipped to provide the highest quality care to my patients.

The impact of my national leadership is further evident in my contributions to medical education. As a Clinical Instructor in Ophthalmology for institutions such as the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and VCOM-ULM, I have shared my wealth of knowledge and expertise with the next generation of medical professionals. My role as Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at William Carey University further underscores my dedication to mentoring and inspiring students to pursue excellence in their own careers.

I currently serve on the Board of Trustees of the Baptist Health Sciences University. In addition, I serve on the Kansas City University Alumni Association Board. My national leadership is characterized by a relentless pursuit of excellence, a commitment to ethical practices, and a vision for the future of healthcare.
